Unlucky Christmas Lenin

There is a simple and logical reason why my mum has a collection of Lenin busts. Presumably there's also a good reason to decorate him for Christmas.
It's well past twelfth night however so surely thus is bringing bad luck on her household?
Next year he's having a little Santa hat....
