Texas Bound

Jake has left the building on the first leg of his journey with AMSoccer to visit Houston, Texas for a week of football and fun. His kilt and soccer kit made an odd mix in his suitcase along with the usual T shirts, shorts etc.

The boys are being hosted by local families - how fab is that? The only cost to us was the cost of the flight. While he is away he will be watching a big footie match (well a crowd of 85,000) Mexico v Venezula, he has a visit to NASA, a NBA match to watch and of course the visit to the crocodile centre (I hope the insurance salesperson is not reading) That with some friendly matches and a friendly (in case the insurance lady IS reading) tournament with the local team should make for a great experience for him

......while I sit at home and fret. Is he on the plane yet (not now, that will be 6 am tomorrow), have they landed, are the folks nice (have googled and its a fine house, by a lake with a pool), is he minding his manners, is he warming up before games, yada yada yada....all the usual over protective mum worries :)

I hope he has a ball and stays safe.

Oh and the car....is fixed, the rear screen heater has stopped working and there is a new noise, less clunky and much more comforting :)
