So when you hear a strange 'whumph' sound emanating from the back of the house, what do you think its going to be?

Generally, not the ceiling falling down in the back kitchen. Doesn't appear to be related to damp... just shit old plaster giving up the ghost. Just what you need when you're off to London for two days.

On the up side...in thumb news I did get the dressing changed and took a picture of what lay beneath.
