Thursday 26 January 2012: Mt Ruapehu from the air

Flew to Tauranga today and had a wonderful view of the volcanoes in the central North Island.The lake on the top of the mountain is such a stunning blue colour and stands out against the volcanic rock.

this is an active volcano and is always being monitored
