Thursday 26 January 2012: Room With A View
This is a view taken from our bedroom window looking out towards the location of yesterday's blip. What we choose to include in the camera frame can prove deceptive. I live in a zone of modern houses and apartments but the viewer of this image could be forgiven for thinking that I live in a wilderness. It's on my doorstep yes but we have roads, running water, satellite TV and a high-speed internet connection.
I often wonder about the people who must have lived in this old farm house before the encroachment of the urban sprawl that has taken over some of the foothills of these vast mountains. Thankfully it appears to be at a halt all be it for economic reasons.
