Thursday 26 January 2012: bottling the 2010 vintage
Today we settled into 'la cave' at le couvent and spent a lovely afternoon bottling 200 plus bottles of a blend of syrah, grenache, carignan and cinsault from the 5000 vines vineyard.
My job was to dry and zork the bottles in preparation for H and her well versed and swift labelling fingers. The zork by, the way is a clever corking device known to us as such but less interestingly, I feel, as an STL by the company who designed the beastie.
Tomorrow I return to the land of the zork and tonight we may well have a pichet of today's attentions.
What a wonderful time it has been and as Arnie in his role in The Terminator, was rumoured to have said, 'I'll be back'.
