Thursday 26 January 2012: Life is good with tea and lenses
So I am a single parent today. Simon went to the big smoke yesterday and stayed with my big sis and won't be back til late this evening.
Last night I blitzed the house and then had to write some tricky FAQ's for church all of which meant I didn't finish till 10pm and had not got around to eating - I had porridge and then collapsed into bed hoping that a miricle may occur and the boys might give me a lie in until 6.30am (some hope!) Bob breezed in at 5.45 with something of great importance to tell me. He then kept coming in despite me yelling and throwing pillows at him (to be honest I think he was more amused than chastised)
I had woken up with a headache that had been bothering me all the previous day and had now decided to come out with a vengeance. But we got to school without mishap or injury and I got home to continue cleaning the house for the two viewings we had planned for today. Both went fine but I was gasping for a cup of tea after the second one left (in fact I think the headache may have just been as a result of tea deprivation - we ran out of milk at breakfast, so when I had the opportunity, I downed three cups in quick succession and hey presto, headache much improved:-)
Ali and I spent the afternoon playing which was really nice. We got the trains out and played with them for oh about 10 minutes before he moved on to jigsaws and then something else, for once this didn't bother me I couldn't care less I had nothing else to do which was soooo nice. So I took the opportunity to play around with my new lens, its still awesome!
Hey ho I'm off to try and catch up with masterchef now seeing as I actually have an evening with nothing to do for a change. Bliss. Also I have a nice cup of Earl Gray to drink MMmmm :-)
PS I love the way kids get properly involved with play lying on the floor and watching everything from floor level I wish I could do that more often :-)
