Following....."Just Like Brown's Cows"

The Canterbury Plains (between ChCh & Timaru) were known for their sheep and crop farming. In recent years, there has been an enormous change to dairy conversions. Fences dividing paddocks have been removed, state of the art dairy sheds built, humungiously large irrigation units and three massive (& growing) dairy factories producing milk, milk powders and cheese products being exported all around the world.

Here are some of those producing cows, wandering back to their green paddocks after being milked, alongside them is a irrigation unit (not in use at the moment). A howling nor-wester and hot temperatures have produced this sky and since the cows mainly were black and white I went with the mono option. I would suggest large.

Gardening and general chores this morning, until we got too hot & bothered. A salad lunch, then drove to Ashburton (Doug went to look at something) and back home via the inland route.

A good day :)
