Let's go to the park...

Let's go on an adventure
Just you and I
Pack a bag of essentials
Like crisps and a box of flies
We'll hunt for snails
And build a den
And roll down a muddy hill
Again and again
We'll ambush dragons
And sail the high seas
Play hide-and-seek in a thicket of trees
Feed the ducks
Make a rocket ship
Find a bridge
And play pooh sticks
Then red-cheeked and weary
At the end of the day
We'll wander home
As the light fades away
Bearing stones in our pocket
Too precious to throw away.
And bruises and grass stains,
Our trophies of play.
