Invincible invisible

The coalition's welfare reform bill is a sickening melange of opportunism and spite, a product of populist government (and not just the mob that's in at the moment) and a society that has completely lived up to the epitaph Thatcher handed it 30 years ago.

Today a healthy UK Uncut contingent turned out to support vociferous protests against the bill by Disabled People Against the Cuts, 20 of whom chained their wheelchairs to the lampposts across one entrance to Oxford Circus, blocking the road, and making themselves very visible.

Atmosphere: fantastic.
Language: cyan.
Arrests: zero.
