The day started with a bit of pitching in the garden, moving the bird feeders back to where they used to be ready for the bird watching thing tomorrow.

After numerous cups of coffee it was time to head off to Rodney Parade to watch Newport take on Ebbw Vale in the cup. With Newport playing very poorly all season and Ebbw Vale being in the division below it was going to be a toughie.

A toughie it was, we were crap and Ebbw didn't give us room to move. They played with a lot of grit and determination, giving everything to put one over Newport. That is exactly what they did. Ebbw Vale beat us 13-26, and they deserved it. Good luck to them for the rest of the tournament.
