Tuesday 24 January 2012: 26. color year round
there are bright colorful things blooming here year-round. i don't mind a little snow, but if it's like boston where there is nothing living anywhere for at least a few months plant-wise, then it's a bit much for me.
lots of stuff is leafless and hibernating here, but this purple cabbage-y thing and these pansies are not among them.
that said, summer is the bleakest season here. there are some blooming things but they have to fight to stay alive in rather absurd temperatures, some years.
