Tuesday 31 January 2012: Shoes

I can't believe I'm blipping shoes. Never in a month of Sundays would I have imagined I'd blip shoes. But here I am, blipping 10 of the things.

These are the shoes I acquired from Mum on Sunday. If you look closely, you'll notice there are 10 different shoes to save me blipping a ridiculously wide composite of 10 pairs. There aren't any fancy designer ones, but I believe they're all good makes, because Mum's Dad was a shoe and bootmaker, so she's fussy about the footwear she buys. There's a pair of Bally, two pairs of Clarks, two Van-Dal, two Gabor and one pair each of K Shoes, Giacomo Vanzi and Grand Tour.

Each pair came to me in its original box, with its original tissue paper. I was going to see if you could guess which was the most expensive, but the prices aren't comparable because they obviously come from a wide range of years. However, I will see if you can guess which is the oldest pair - the pair that Mum wore as part of her going away outfit on her wedding day in 1964.

After tomorrow, when I give you the answer, we'll never talk about me blipping shoes again ;)




P.S. Still not 100% sure on yesterday's mystery bird and we didn't see him today. I will keep you posted.
