Brown footed booby in Seattle! Faces of Fiona #45

Yep, she's back for the regular tuesday. And Nope, we weren't quite recovered from the weekend.

However - the sun was out this morning so we went to the zoo. Here Fiona is interested in the Humboldt penguins but I was more interested in that bird on the rock! (Just had to add a closer photo not through the glass...) It's a Brown footed Booby! They live in the Caribbean! This is the Pacific Northwest! This one was rescued from a fishing boat off the coast of Oregon and is living for now in a heated room except when the sun shines and she comes out for some rays. Her wings are clipped just a little but she can still glide (but from this rock she would just glide into the water..) What a good surprise sight!
