724/365 History at Work

I snook into the grounds of Inst, an old school in the centre of Belfast, to take this side-on shot of this old warehouse and offices this evening. It's a beautiful piece of architecture and I've shot the front door back in August '08 - worth clicking on!
In tonight's shot, I particularly like the oval shaped windows with the white crosses. This structure is set far enough away down a cul de sac, up the side of the school grounds, to have protected it from the various bombs and bullets we experienced here between '69 and '94. It was the former offices and premises of Glendinning, McLeish & Company Limited - a big name in the linen industry at the start of the last century. It was built in 1910.

Thanks for all of your comments yesterday. To date, Toby's body has yet to be found.
