My lovely friends, Nacho and Ryan bought this wee hammock for Belle-creature at christmas. She was a bit suspicious of it at first, but now she loves it - it keeps her wee bum warm, being next to the heater :)

I found out today that I was rejected for a funding app. I was pretty gutted. Being a writer, you have to be used to rejections, and I've been pretty easy going about any I've received so far, but I think I was too hopeful for this one. Fortunately, my friend Peikko came a few minutes later and made everything better. We chatted for two hours and I stuffed her full of tea and chocolate banana cake. She is such a lovely warm creature. I'm very lucky to have a great bunch of friends in my life. It hasn't always been that way. In my youth, I wasted far too much time on people I now call 'vampires' - people who just weren't good for me. But now I'm surrounded by people I really love.
Now, onwards to the next thing. There are more funding apps in the pipeline, and more writing competitions, and the novel to finish :)
