Wednesday 1 February 2012: Four Bridges
If you like bridges, you might find this interesting.... Otherwise, move on! I've photographed other Portland bridges but today I give you FOUR in one shot! The first is the Morrison, our most illuminated bridge. (People pay to have the bridge lighted in their school colors during big games)! Then you see the Hawthorne which is the oldest vertical suspension bridge in the USA. The high bridge is the Marquam and carries cars only, no trains or mass transportation. Barely visible is the Ross Island Bridge, also a commuter bridge! I have now shown you eight of our bridges on Blip. Aside from getting so many bridges in one shot, I was taken by all the horizontal and vertical lines in this picture and their reflection in the water!
