A Day in the Life of... H

Blipfoto.com

Thursday 2 February 2012: 2 years and still going strong...

Yikes, that's a lot of photos!

To find today's 730th blip we went on a walk. We should have learned, really, seeing as we almost froze our noses off yesterday but it was nice to get out (and, finger crossed, Claudia has actually gone down for a nap! First one in months and months!). I got a lot of snaps of her larking about, and am experimenting with black and white as I think it makes such striking photos.

I realise my legs look amusingly dislocated in this photo - I have a habit of sitting with my knees to one side :) But I thought the three of us should be in this photo (Amy is there, she's just strapped to my front as usual, nice and snuggled) so I did a rather shaky self-timer shot and ran to momentarily sit in bird faeces. In the name of art, you understand. I do quite like it...

So here it is, 2 years ago tomorrow I signed up to blip and have taken a photo a day ever since. I never thought I'd manage a whole year, let alone two, and how times have changed.

Claudia has celebrated two birthdays.

We discovered we were expecting another baby. She was born after an incredible VBAC which helped massively to assuage the trauma of Claudia's birth (a C section).

My dearest Grandpa passed away.

We moved over 7000 miles (not to mention 8 times zones!) from Brunei to Bedfordshire.

We said goodbye to our beautiful cats: Onion, Pickle, Basil and Peanut. Not forgetting Noodle and Ginger who both passed away.

In two years I have also gained 60 subscribers and over 110,000 views! Wow!

Thank you to everyone who follows my blip. I'm sorry I don't often get a chance to reply to comments but I always appreciate reading each and every one of yours; they really do make me happy. So. Two years down, how many more to go, I wonder...?
