This is the Ashton memorial at Lancaster in Williamson Park built by some philanthropic gent to remember his wife. Tonight I have been to the open air theatre in the park ' Beauty and the Beast' which was just superb and the memorial and park make a fantastic back drop for the outdoor scenes.
