It is amazing how everything plugs back to it. Philosophers talk about the cycle of birth and death and how man should try to attain salvation and get rid of karmas by constant self evaluation. And it all leads to the point where in man starts thinking, ok is it all about being me, or is it all about being one of them ? And often, most lives are spent dreading that question. Some take the extra step forward. Some take an extra step back.
