Friday 3 February 2012: Nuthatch
It was either this or a catblip today. After all my pontificating yesterday (and the acquisition of drugs!) I woke up this morning resembling a hamster and the day has been a mix of furious activity (hoovering, filling bird feeders, marking and washing) followed by those periods of lying on the settee with the heat pad, watching afternoon tv in the hope that it will push on the clock and get you to the next dose of ibuprofen and amoxycillin. Jane Austen movies in the middle of the night are becoming a way of life, 'Persuasion' last night! So I dared not venture out into the lovely day today as the cold doesn't agree with the abscess. Buddy was in a very strange position on top of the chair in the window, so he was blipped several times whilst asleep, but then I braved opening the bedroom window to catch the last minute of feeding before sundown and the nuthatch appeared.
Things can only get better (only two hours till the next meds!)
