Friday 3 February 2012: Buddha's Hand
I am fascinated with this citrus, and I know I've run a few photos of it in the past. Today's fruit is about as big as my face, or a sunflower, with an extraordinary number of tentacles, and I couldn't resist another shot. A jay or a squirrel has stashed a peanut up in the top arms, and the whole thing just makes me smile. The trees themselves are at least six feet tall and about five feet wide and just completely astonish me every time I'm in their neighborhood.
