Sunday 5 February 2012: Snow..
.. but not as much as expected.
We left Edinburgh at 9 30 and there was just a smattering of snow on the hills. We stuck to the A1 and didn't risk venturing inland to the scenic route. On reaching the Borders the temperature dropped but there was still just a light dusting of snow. We didn't encounter proper snow until we turned into our road! There were a good 3 inches of the stuff on the drive.
We had a great weekend but it's good to be home.
