Out with the old, in with the new

This was taken just before I went to bed, which explains the camera shake I suppose.

The sandals at the top of the picture were bought in 2002 and were the first pair I'd owned since I was a child (I'm not a fan of sandals but they are big here in NZ).

Anyway, they have lasted me well - I use them as slippers around the house - but after a decade of service have finally given up the ghost.

They are shown here with their successors in the bottom half of the shot. I hope the new pair last as long as they did (or I'll be back to the shop to complain).
