Sunday 5 February 2012: The library
Nice day but not quite so blue. Since the girls' Mom was at another weekend class, Tatum came with us for awhile this afternoon to one of our favorite places, the Burke Museum, on the UW campus, that has a new exhibit on food of the world (and what it takes to feed the world) It's our favorite cafe where we have to have a brownie and chocolate milk. A nice walk across the campus where Tatum and I went to a presentation of "Merry Company: Pop-ups, Movables and Toy Books" in the special collections/ artist books section. Not too much talking and we got to view 2 centuries of children's book and play with some of the more recent. Tatum likes to write books and I like to make them so who knows what inspiration will strike from this! And H got to attend a NW Coast Salish Artist talk at the Burke!
So I thought I'd blip the outside of the Suzzallo Library that I blipped last thursday -with the Barnett Newman "Broken Obelisk" in front. Tatum's still a kid and likes to climb over every thing in sight.. We all had a good time!
Here's the reading room on the second floor....
