Monday 6 February 2012: WAITANGI DAY
The Engineer and I have been photographing the Waitangi Day Celebrations at Okains Bay on Banks Peninsula . Waitangi Day is our National Day in New Zealand to celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between the Queen of England and the Maori Chiefs in 1840. I could not resist asking this Maori gentleman if I could photograh his full facial Moko (Tattoo)
