Wednesday 8 February 2012: The gateway..

Firstly, thanks to all who looked and made comment on my blip yesterday, it was pleasing to see the image come out the way that it did. I had to waiti for almost an hour for the cloud to break enough to get the moon in the frame.

Today, I was up early, my car had to be at the garage for a service and a squeaky fan belt at 0800.

On the way back I decided to talk a walk to the Weetslade Park, my regular followers will note that this is a regular place for me to wander.

I took loads of images but when passing the gate, above, I couldn't help notice that the Sun was shining off the bars, blip-opportunity I thought.

It was -6 at this point and my ears were nipping away on the point of painful.

I rattled off a few frames and edited it in Photomatix and PS. I quite like the result.
