Wednesday 8 February 2012: The Gull Roost
It's getting dark, minus 2 and we're staring out across an old mine working that's frozen over.
Why?
Because today I saw, for the first time on my local patch, this year:
Great Northern Diver
Green-winged Teal (first time ever in the UK)
Yellow-legged Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Knot
Today was a good day, a very good day!
