Thursday 9 February 2012: Food for Thought!
Today, Paula at work reaches the BIG 40! I remember mine well, no surprises, everything the way I wanted it - PERFECT it was! I went to York and bought a CD, had a coffee or two spending time with the one I love the most and then off to Whitby we went for Fish n' Chips that we ate in the car facing the Abbey - that night we had a sunset and the moon sitting either side of the Abbey and what a sight, did I have a camera - sure did, but it wouldn't capture the moment. Did it matter? No, as I was having the day of my life. The whole day from waking to sleeping was heaven and I wouldn't change that day for the world.
If Only, Only If?
If I knew then, what I knew now!
These are all popular phrases that are said when you see others reach milestones that we have passed :-)
Question really is - would you if you could? Hindsight is a wonderful thing and although I join in these common conversions as I am passed the age on the cake above I wouldn't change a thing, regardless of the snoring of a certain individual has driven me up the wall for many years and for many more to come - I wouldn't change that person either. It's only now after years of getting older and wiser that I really appreciate what is important in my life and because of that I can go forward and be content to do the things I aim to do that I wished that I had done in the past. So you see if I could turn back time and aimed to do the things in the past that you wished you had done - then they would be done and so therefore my future might have been empty? (Very Deep and profound) So the answer to the question for me is "no" - how about you?
