Thursday 9 February 2012: Sing Hey! For The Open Road
This doesn't look too exciting but to locals it is just that.
The road between Roslin and Rosewell collapsed over four years ago. Deep fissures opened as the tarmac gave way and threatened to slide down the steep side of the glen. The road was deemed dangerous, closed to traffic, causing lengthy diversions between the two villages.
After a period of three years' inaction and a lengthy repair the road was opened last Monday, complete with reassuring Armco barriers.
