Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Fossil Rock

Grey and drizzle has reappeared in Seattle, but it's not so cold, so a nice row this morning was appreciated. Then a walk with a friend this afternoon ended up at the Burke Museum, where this palm frond fossil rock sits outside.

My friend says "Freddy fungus and Alice algae took a lichen to each other on a rock." !!
(I have never heard this but will now try to remember it - had to call her to get it right :-) ) Not the best photo of that lichen (made up of fungus and algae- ), but I liked the other patterns....

Off to the ballet Don Quixote tonight!
