Valley of Fire

We spent the day at Valley of Fire. This is one of our favorite places to explore. I took many photos but selected this close up of the lines of color in the rocks just because I love the shapes and curves. Tonight we go to Emmett and Jen's for dinner again. We are having a great time here.

From the brochure: The Valley of Fire derives its name from sandstone formations, formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of dinosaurs, 150 million years ago. Complex uplifting and faulting of the region, followed by extensive erosion, have created the present landscape.
