HEADS OR TAILS

It might look like this Monarch Caterpillar has its head at the top but in fact the bitey end is at the bottom where you can see the Swan plant leaf has been eaten.

Golf today so a quick blip which I had identified yesterday - when I bliped the Monarch Fly on a Tiger Lilly with highly orange colour pallette.

The Monarch Butterflies are great flyers and they flit and glide around the garden looking for the swan plants where they lay their eggs. There is a nasty bitter tasting white substance in the swan plant which Monarch predators dont like ( and neither do I ) so I understand the caterpillars are left well alone while they happily cobble the leaves and subsequently pupate.

rgds Pooba.
