Friday 10 February 2012: Snowy Blue Tit
It is too cold to go out or even open the window to blip the birds in the elder tree today, but the upside was that they sat in the outer branches so came a little bit closer than usual. Originally I was going to upload this one. It's a first in the tree for me and I'm not sure if it is a fieldfare or a redwing - help lawrie please! Tony counted eight in the tree earlier in the week but this was a solitary visitor. However, I could not resist this blue tit, plumped out against the weather and sitting quite contentedly full of our nuts for some time.
