Friday 10 February 2012: Back to the norm
A seriously normal day. Boy to school. Clean house for yet another viewing. Don't think she'll buy it as I had to admit that the chimney would need to be lined and her face fell when I told her it isn't south facing.
The man in the library was wonderful when I admitted that we'd mislaid 'exciting electrics' (!) and wouldn't be able to return it, he told us not to worry and he'd just flag it as lost and not charge us, I think he was slightly surprised that a 5 year old should be playing with electrics, I assured him it was under strict supervision!
managed to get all up to date with blips (although some are decidedly dodgy but I guess for the journal it is important to record what crazy week its been)
Then Bob had a friend round to play after school (big deal - first friend to come home and play!) Silas was lovely and very chatty. his mum is lovely too but I don't know how she copes as they have five kids at home!
So anyway in an attempt to claw back some time to do nice things for me I bought some rather lovely wool that caught my fancy and as I have lost my lovely pink woolly hat and the one I'm wearing doesn't go over my ears enough and looks decidedly odd (it was my first attempt ages back) I decided to knit myself a new one. Hence exhibit A maybe you'll get a blip of the finished article eventually.
