Friday 10 February 2012: Cardiff balcony
Shelter from the Welsh rain in the arcades - 19th century Cardiff's precursors of today's characterless shopping centres. They're all lined with interesting independent shops: my favourite camera shop, a wonderful delicatessen, cafes like the one where we ate delicious cawl - lamb stew with Caerphilly cheese - for lunch.
