Thursday 9 February 2012: Self-soothing sucker
Linden doesn't use a pacifier much, so he has found other ways to self-soothe with suckling: he's been sucking his fingers a lot lately. Sometimes he sucks on his index and/or ring finger while his middle finger finds a cozy spot in his nose, which is almost happening here. Also after yoga today, I was getting his jacket on him as we got ready to go home, and I noticed a bruise on his arm. But then I realized it wasn't a bruise, but it was a hickey he gave himself while sucking hard on his arm during tummy time! You can slightly notice the hickey in this photo, just below the "Y" on his sweatshirt.
