Saturday 11 February 2012: Recession My *^#+
A childless evening, as Nana and Jim have taken the rugrats for the night. The original idea was for Monkey Boy to watch the early footie and the rugby, but I doubt they enjoyed the result - or the cancellation.
Anyway, we're supposed to be in the depths of the worst recession in the history of Ireland, and the only restaurant booking we can get is 5.30 to be out by 7.00. And the table was back in use by 7.10... I know it's the weekend before Valentine's Day, but the Eastern Seaboard is this busy most nights. So much for being poor!
Still, nice piece of John Dory, and a gorgeous ginger cake to finish. And the pleasure of Yummy Mummy's company!
