Monday 6 February 2012: 39. mexican food
and by that i mean mostly tex-mex, which is not really the same as authentic mexican food (though that is wonderful too, and easy to find here), and which is impossible to find elsewhere in the US.
i could wax poetic about the taco - this is something we know how to do right here, and i really think nowhere else in the US does. i do not mean a crispy shell (treason) but a proper corn tortilla with fillings as varied and delicious as your imagination can allow.
if i could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be tacos.
