Monday 13 February 2012: Painted glass
Had a slow start to the day. Felt like I was on slow motion. It occurred to me that this could be the after effects of having a drink at the weekend. I had a glass and a half of wine which by most people's standards is nothing, but by mine is binge drinking. And this morning I did feel like I had a hang over, what I remember of such in the dim and distant.
The bottle therefore seemed to fit. This is an old moulded bottle that I painted to bring out the pattern of the grape vine.
Fine though as not at work today or tomorrow. Tomorrow being one of those days that marks the passage of time and links back to previous years of artificial marking. The funny thing now is that blipdays seem far more special things to celebrate and come around more quickly than just once a year ;-)
On my jobs list for today was 'fix the netbook'. Such a short task in words. Three words, thirteen letters, fifteen characters... We are talking black screen of death, missing essential windows files, restore back to factory settings, reinstall all software... the sort of thing that takes a little while. Got windows (XP!) loaded and virus protection, and connected to Internet, now I am about to do windows update... could regret it!
