Monday 13 February 2012: telynydd
Went out for a bit of culture to watch a Welsh/ Celtic trio perform live. They were made up of a harpist (telynydd in Welsh) and two fiddlers/violinists.
The harpist, Ceri, shown here, is half Welsh half Canadian. He was born in Stettler Alberta, true ranching country, but was read Welsh poetry every night at bedtime by his father!!
He is now revisiting his Welsh heritage in Wales and returns to Canada with two friends to show off the land of his birth.
The music was lovely.
