Tuesday 14 February 2012: Glass Heart
Blipped this as I had nothing else and it is Valentines day! It is a small glass heart that has been app'd.
This day first became associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards.
I didn't realise it had been around that long!
