Thursday 16 February 2012: Vote Retain!
I didn't think I was going to make it along to the Vote to Retain Union Terrace gardens launch, but I finished work early.
What you can't see here is my companion, young Sonny Boy who was wearing a fetching I Love UTG bandana. You see the problem is that like many people (and dogs) Sonny associates Union Terrace with running about having fun, not standing still and getting your photograph taken by journalists. Within minutes his customised white bandana was mud covered and I had underestimated how difficult it would be to get a decent photo of him sitting nicely like a little prince in front of the folk you see here. in my head he would become the Save UTG mascot and go down in history like wee Greyfriars Bobby or something.
Still, the Daily Record took our photo too so there's still hope. We should be in tomorrow's edition.
