Monday 13 February 2012: Gingerbread

Had a changeover day at Craigwell Cottage today and other things to do too, so thought a wee 'carry out' lunch from Clarinda's might help speed me on my way.

But when I decided to order Gingerbread for afters, I reckoned without the generosity of the ladies in the cafe. Two big slabs, slathered together with butter. I must have looked like I needed it.

If you're in the Canongate in Edinburgh around lunchtime, go and see the Clarinda's ladies - you'll feel like you're at your auntie's.
