Thursday 16 February 2012: Butterfly tongue

There's an exhibition of photographs in the gardens at St Andrew's Square in Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival.

I found myself drawn to the close up ones which revealed secrets of the natural world. This is one of a butterfly tongue. And if it isn't, then I just liked the patterns and colours.
