Friday 8 August 2008: First one
Cyclops is sick of me pointing at things telling him what to blip and has told me to get my own blip. I paraphrase - Cyclops was less polite about it.
So here I am.
I quite like taking photos and have a decent eye for the composition of an image, but I don't really have the patience to achieve what I could with the end result. Like my academic career, I imagine my Blips could be appraised as 'should try harder'.
So me and Cyclops went to Ireland this weekend for a wedding, and spent a day in Dublin before heading across to Sligo. Dublin is a city with a fascinating history, great literary tradition and many galleries. Therefore, we spent the morning at the Guinness factory. Outrageously priced at 15 euros each, the exhibition is actually very well done and well worth a visit. It is a really weird industrial building inside, and my first blip shows some sort of bit of that. No idea what it is, or what 'scald' means - although it sounds sore!
