Friday 17 February 2012: At Loggerheads...
... but we are still speaking. This is an area of outstanding beauty. You can see Moel Famau at the right hand side of this photo. Moel Famau at 1800 feet is the highest point in the Clwydian range and, on a clear day, offers fantastic views for many miles.
At the top of Moel Famau is the Jubliee Tower which was started in 1810 to commemorate the golden jubilee of George 111. The tower, which was to be in the style of an Egyptian obelsik, was never completed and much of it was blown down in a storm in 1862. Today only the base of the tower remains.
