Saturday 18 February 2012: Ipanema Bloco
I have never seen so many people out on Ipanema!! It may have been the most people I've seen in a single area. Apparently there's 2.2million people here right now.
Yes, it's a grand old party! And we've had fun meeting up with old friends and wandering around, drinking (expensive) caipirinhas, pushing through crowds, and talking with girls dressed up like Robin (Batman is on vacation in Barbados, we hear...) We're back at home now, talking about the "urination problem" in the streets as well as the amount of trash we generate in celebrations like this.
