Saturday 18 February 2012: Serious Fun

Another cardboard box came into the house, providing much amusement to cats and people. The purchase was packed with brown paper, which makes a satisfying crunchy noise against little claws.

Spent a good part of the morning washing the big dining room windows, inside and out, which became necessary after we had all the overgrown roses trimmed off the carport. Such light now streaming in, and such dirty glass! And, oh my aching back. Everything looks a little brighter and a little sparkly now, but frankly the whole thing could use another go. It's just not going to be me. I may have washed my very last window ever.

And still managed to have an hour of energy to practice ukulele with some friends. We are playing this song, only without the costumes.
