Saturday 18 February 2012: ?uc Giang
Retuned to Hanoi last night and felt happy to be back in my adopted city. today off to my hospital Duc Giang - felt proud of myself writing out the directions in Vietnamese (with correct diacritics...) good enough to get there ( this hospital is poor and on the fringes) - then finding my way to my doctors office. So wrist injection done, plans for more surgery made, green tea drunk, offer of payment and then donation refused! Instead he wants to bring out a bus load of medical staff to visit my bears and be educated about bear bile farming.... Priceless. So I leave with a numb hand but warm heart.
